BioGas to BioRefinery is an 18-month project funded by the Centre for Advanced Sustainable Energy (CASE) which aims to produce an evidence-based RoadMap for the development of a bioeconomy for Northern Ireland.
The research involves a review of potential feedstock’s for biogas production in Northern Ireland and the demonstration of the environmental and economic benefits of advanced utilisation options for Biogas from Wastes for Northern Ireland, based on the Biorefinery concept.
The project began in January 2016 and is scheduled to complete in June 2017. We are based at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Queen’s University Belfast.
