The Project Team
The project is conducted by an interdisciplinary research team led by Dr Robin Curry.
Dr Robin Curry
Robin obtained his BSc in Environmental Science from University of Ulster in 1986 before gaining his MSci in Environmental Engineering from Kingston University London in 1991. He completed his D. Phil. in Resource Management at the University of Ulster in 1996 and went on to become a lecturer at QUB. Currenty Robin is a Lecturer in Chemical Engineering within the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (SCCE) at Queen’s University Belfast. He carries out interdisciplinary research based around sustainability, climate change and bioenergy.
Prof. David W. Rooney
David completed his BSc and PhD in Chemical Engineering at QUB. He is Professor of Chemical Engineering within the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (SCCE) at Queen’s and Director of the Sustainable Energy Pioneer Research Programmes (PRP). His research interests include ionic liquids, reaction engineering and heterogeneous catalysis.
Dr María Natividad Pérez Camacho
María Natividad (Nati) is a Chemical Engineer from the School of Engineering, University of Sevilla, Spain. She completed her PhD on “Reforming of Biogas using Wind Energy and Perovskite Catalysts” in 2014 at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Queen’s University Belfast. After a couple of years working on industry she has moved back to Queen’s to perform research on Life Cycle Assessment and Cost Benefit Analysis of Biogas. Her main interests include renewable energies, waste management and environmentally friendly processes.
